# Day trips from Seychelles

> Home base is Mahé. Genuine day-trip range is Praslin (Cat Cocos ferry ~1h15, or Air Seychelles 20-min hop, ~19 flights/day) and La Digue (Cat Cocos direct ~70 min weekend fast service, or ~1h45 via Praslin then a 15-min inter-island ferry hop; no scheduled fixed-wing service to La Digue). Nothing international is same-day-returnable — Mauritius is ~1h50 by air, Madagascar/Zanzibar/Comoros all further — so unlike other Rockhopping locations there is no neighbouring country to draw events from. July-August also falls between Seychelles' two big festival peaks (Carnaval International de Victoria in April, Festival Kreol in October, both on Mahé anyway and so excluded as home-island events), which keeps this shortlist short but genuine.
