In-country stretches also count for a Muscat resident: Jabal Akhdar/Nizwa (~2-2.5h drive, last stretch past the Saiq police checkpoint requires 4WD) and Salalah (~1h35-1h40 flight, Oman Air runs up to 8-12 flights/day between Muscat and Salalah during Khareef season) - Salalah is realistically a flight-plus-overnight rather than a same-day return given the distance, but Khareef is Oman's single biggest domestic summer draw so it is included here, clearly flagged as an overnight trip.
