# Day trips from Bermuda

> Bermuda is genuinely isolated — nearest land is the US East Coast, ~1,000km away, no ferries and no island-hopping. Boston is the ONLY place that supports a true same-day round trip: BermudAir/JetBlue fly BDA-BOS daily in summer, out at 08:15 (land ~09:45-10:30) with a last return departure from Boston as late as 18:10, giving a genuine ~7-hour window in the city (Logan is 15-20 min from downtown). New York (JFK/EWR) is a hard no for day trips — every carrier's return leg to Bermuda departs before midday (last EWR-BDA is 14:50, JFK-BDA are morning-only), so anything there requires an overnight, no matter how early you fly out. Atlanta is similar: the only Delta pairing has you landing in Atlanta at 18:05 and returning at 10:30 the next morning — an overnight-only slot. Newport, RI (yachting/tennis/polo country) lost its direct BermudAir link in 2025, so it's now reachable only by flying to Boston and driving ~70 min each way — workable as a very long, tight day, or better as an overnight.
